If Only (the progression of a painting)

I am thrilled to have three encaustic pieces up at the Vision of Squam II show in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire right now. I recently stumbled across the photos I had taken marking the progression of one of the paintings in the show, If Only, so I wanted to share them with all of you. I always love seeing how other artists go about arriving at a finished work.

I must say that the piece didn't come out as I had envisioned it in the beginning, but I liked it after it sat around for a while.
